Why spend years and a lot of money to chase after a degree when the weed man around the corner has more business acumen than a college graduate?
This is very interesting to me. Makes me honestly question the whole education system. They tell us we need education to get certain jobs and we need a degree to get a high paying job but most people I know ended up doing other things than what they originally planned on doing before they got their degree.

BTW, if you are going to a real institution then most of your professors are already engaged in industry work as independent contractors/consultants with their own operations.
Those who are not doing so are managing labs which require similar documentation to the traditional 10pg business plan especially if those professors are seeking federal funds(most are). That documentation involves employee management, expense reports, inventory and other business matters. In this instance, their business resembles a federal contractor, with a govt agency as the primary client.
Now the story is different if you go to community college or the easy college in your state.
