Now people are trying to say he doesn't own effen vodka smh

I thought 50 owned an equity stake in it, which he traditionally has down rather than taking salary for promoting any product. technically having stock in a company does make you an owner, it just doesn't mean that you are in controlBeam Suntory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Same company that owns Jim Beam, Courvoisier and Maker's mark owns Effen.
So unless 50 was the one that paid 16 billion bucks for Beam last year, he does not own it. Which by your definition would make you the coward.
It doesn't make any sense, it's a brand owned by a publicly traded company. So 50 would have to be a partner of the Japanese holding company that owns the company that owns Effen in a $16 billion acquisition. A Japanese family company owned by Japan's richest man and a family company that's over 100 years old. I don't know but excuse my skepticism. Or he's a owner of the equity owner on Tokyo's stock market, it's very simple to check the relevant owners and he's not one of them.I thought 50 owned an equity stake in it, which he traditionally has down rather than taking salary for promoting any product. technically having stock in a company does make you an owner, it just doesn't mean that you are in control

What equity stake? In the holding company? Cause Effen is wholly owned by a company that's owned by a Japansse holding company. And if he owns a stake it would mean that he hasn't made a lot of money cause the stock has not had a good return (40 basis points since june 2014). It did pay a dividend though. He has an equity stake in the company in exchange for the use of his brand which is why he's going to every state making sure stores buy Effen Vodka.
He did not create the company, he just owns a percentage that no one knows.
this is a monster troll thread though.

Furthermore the three smallest owner of the big owners, JP Morgan, Citibank and Mellon, own less than a percent.

ding ding ding. Other dude was a little off in his points. A publicly traded company means you share equity in the company,so 50 is probably like a 0.6% shareholderYou do know you can hold equity stake in Effen the product itselt, without having equity in the entire holdings company. It's done every single day in all of business, this is not unique to 50 Cent.
