This would make some see the don’t say gay bill in a different light.

I actually took some time to read the bill. It’s not very long. Couldn’t find anything that was even potentially objectionable or controversial.

How the LGBT community and the media intentionally misrepresented the bill with the inflammatory renaming “Don’t Say Gay” makes it pretty clear that there are some nefarious things going on by that community.

What rational person would object to this?

And I can’t believe Disney would take a stand against this.

I think at my age, I’m a live and let live person. I have my own personal religious faith, of which I value, but we live in a secular society of which I also value. I value the fact that people should be able to live their lives however they want, and should find happiness wherever they find it, as long as it does not harm the next person. Some would say that could be harmful to society as a whole, and I’ve seen examples of just that, but I still lean in favor of individual autonomy vs. societal well-being.

But it’s clear to me that, although I find it admirable a minority groups aim in seeking out rights and a space for themselves, there are certainly bad actors with nefarious intent among them.

I guess it’s a change in my own thinking because if it was an admirable cause, I tended to give the benefit of the doubt.

Now it makes me even question the fight for Civil Rights and if there were/are bad actors with nefarious intent behind the movement. I think some would point to individuals within the current BLM organization as an example but what and who else among the broader movement?
