I'm an immigrant. I'm in support of testings. The world is built upon testing. But as white Americans figured out they can't compete with others with testing, they try to stem the tide. Americans aren't nearly as competitive as they believe. Their imagination is one of the biggest lies ever told on this planet.
Standardized testing in America comes weighted with a ton of baggage, the most devastating of which is school funding being pulled if test scores
aren't at a certain level.
There is no such thing as a standardized education. For various reasons, curricula are different from area to area, and what is considered "standard" knowledge
varies greatly between social castes. Rather than letting teachers enrich students, all practical subjects have to be rushed through in preparation for tests on
things the children won't remember the next school year. Kids are being taught to take tests, not tested on their knowledge.
Mind you, other countries will steer children who don't perform well into the trades and other areas, pushing to enrich the scholars.
In America, EVERYTHING is weighted on how the worst children perform, making the entire subject matter border on remedial in order
for the less prepared children to keep up. "No child left behind" is a thing for a reason, and it is helping ruin the early to middle school system. To avoid
leaving anyone behind, we slow everyone down.
