Eh, I'd say One Piece or Hunter X Hunter would be a better bet (if you're not up on them yet), but it comes down to personal preference. But yeah, I stopped watching Bleach around the Fullbring arc and haven't been able to get back into it. I've heard it's been good lately tho so I may give it another shot soon.

I fux with HXH but one piece is in the same boat as bleach for me. Maybe even worse with one piece cause the premsie of pirates and stuff dont really amuze me.

early bleach . I've always been a Renji stan from day one. I liked his fights with Ichigo and Byakuya. I knew the boy had potential.

He ain't lying. I thought OP was some bullshyt at first. The character designs and pirates weren't appealing at all. But once you get into it its consistently the best one. I fukked with Naruto and Bleach before it and I like it the best probably at this point.

yea the animation was wat pretty much put me off of one piece for the longest but once i started watching it and zorro was introduced () i was hooked.....then that impel down arc came and i knew it was definitely one of the GOATs

I'd put One PIece in my top 3 animes easily. At first I didn't think I'd care for it either because of the art and pirate theme, but the show is just too good.

Bleach was perfect in the Soul Society arc. IMO it fell of right around the middle of the Arrancar arc...there was so much hype but it just ended up being really underwhelming as the arc went on.

I'll co-sign that. I had given it a short chance back when the straight garbage dubs were out and hated that ish. These dudes wouldn't stop talking about it though and kept saying to read up to the Arlong Park arc. I gave in and now it's hands down my favorite manga in the big three. Since that experience, I only watch subbed anime and I read manga at least 100 chapters in before I completely toss them in the bushes (at least manga that these cats suggest).

I'm pretty sure it all came about in the Naruto thread too...crazy the 180 I made on those two manga

As far as the topic at hand...I think Ichigo and crew raiding Soul Society is arguably the best arc in any of the big manga. It was that good.

What's Hunter X about?

Hunter x Hunter is kinda hard to sum up since every arc is about something different (kind of like DBZ), but here goes...basically, a Hunter is a person who has proven that they're an elite member of humanity. To become one, you have to pass an incredibly difficult and rigorous exam that only a tiny fraction of a percentage of people who take actually pass...some don't even survive the exam. If you do manage to pass the test to become a Hunter, you're granted a license to go almost anywhere and do almost anything you want, including kill people. Usually Hunters devote themselves to tracking down priceless artifacts, world wonders, rare animals, dangerous criminals, etc.

What a Hunter may actually hunt varies, but one rule of being a hunter is that you do have to hunt something.

So with that said, the story is basically about a 12-year old (at the start) boy named Gon finds out that his father, who he thought was dead, is alive and actually an elite Hunter. So he becomes determined to follow in his dad's footsteps, become a Hunter, and eventually find his father. The first arc deals with him trying to pass the Hunter exam and meeting several other people taking the exam, for various reasons.

I'm relatively new to it and I think it's pretty well done.

If you are going to start on any anime start with Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (if you haven't saw it yet) Then I would check hunter x hunter....bleach, naruto, one piece are much more long winded then hunter x hunter when talking on the anime's, which might be a good thing or a bad thing depending who's watching, but you will get into it quicker.
