Those mid 2000s Pop/Dance/R&B clubs had that 90s Hiphop/R&B House Party Energy and Love. Sorry if you missed out. :wow:

Around 2005 was when VIP sections starting become popular. R&B and slow dancing was dying. Crunk was taking off. Guys was acting tougher, Black Women starting acting like the White Girls in the Girl Gone Wild Videos, dancing on each other. Hiphop music around that time was amazing, but the clubs wasn't really for dancing and mingle. It was more about getting Wild and Stunting. Every had started too cool to get loose and dance.

I met my ex (Laotian) in Dc around this time, and starting hitting up the Pop/Dance spots with her and her people. At first I was playing too cool/tough like we all do. Until they told me to relax, "here's a shot, let's hit the floor." You didn't have to be great dancer at a lot of these clubs. Didn't have to be a Gangster or Baller in VIP to have a good time either.

Thinking back, I remember when Timberland starting switching over making songs like the ones below, I figured it was for the money. That probably was a big factor, but these songs were really fun. The vibes and energy was awesome. Rihanna, Usher, Beyonce, Diddy and more jumped on this boat also. These Dances clubs had that 90s Hiphop house party energy and love.
