I wanted to share this article with the Coli fam to get opinons. I've been catching a lot of shade on FB because of my opinion about how bullshyt an honorary doctorate is. People think I'm on the crabs in a barrel syndrome because I state someone with an honorary degree should not be called doctor because they did not earn it in the traditional sense. I'm not a hater and I'm not foolish enough to believe that a degree or lack of one will determine your success. But I already know anybody with a high profile or money can get an honorary degree so what is it's true worth if you don't put in the study time.
It's like Lil Wayne claiming Blood. He wasn't jumped in and didn't put in the work but because he's rich and famous he can be honorary Blood but does that mean he is on the same level as a Piru who was jumped in and put in work?

The 37-year-old stood on the stage and received an honorary doctoral degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago at its annual commencement on Monday.

When I was giving a lecture at Oxford, I brought up this school because when I went on that mission to create in other spaces, apparel, film, performance, it would have been easier if I could have said that I had a degree at the Art Institute of Chicago. Thank you.”
