Thoughts on ‘The 20/20 Experience’ Being Fully Produced by Timbaland

Justin Timberlake is over in UK promoting his 3rd album The 20/20 Experience and during his promo run he stopped by the Capital FM studios. He chatted about his new single ‘Mirrors’, new hair style, Britney Spears and the much awaited LP.

Justin revealed that the album is fully produced by his friend Timbaland, similar to his last album FutureSex/LoveSounds on which Timbo produced or contributed to 11 out of 12 songs. He was also recently in the studio with Pharrell but the collaboration was done for another project. JT also discussed the Legends Of The Summer tour with Jay-Z, telling the host that it will be like a collaborative set and something different from the usual. Audio here

Tim just produced Chris Cornell's entire Scream album, a couple years back and almost got Chris run outta the industry. Tim from '96-'01 could've pulled it off, but he's not the same level producer that he used to be.

debateable, but the point is timbo now isnt the same as late 90s/early 2000s timbo

listen to shock value 2 if you wanna hear what timbo's sound is like now, most of his stuff with jerome harmon has been underwhelming.

Define blown?
He has credits for mad songs over 10 years, mad hits etc (although most of the big ones were with Timbo). He's no Pharrell Williams. But he's a very successful producer.

You nikkas need to quit with all this "timbo need danja" bullshyt. It's been 6 YEARS and danja aint really did shyt without timbo. Plus danja's best shyt is when he uses timbo's style.

It's funny cuz originally FS/LS was suppose to be like his 1st album with tim/danja doin half and the neptunes doin half but when Jive was stalling to promote the Clispe Hell Hath No Fury album Pharrell and Chad rode wit there dudes (clispe)and told them if ya not gonna promote the album were not gonna do work on the JT album kinda like we're not gonna do you a favor if ya not gonna do what ur suppose to do (the clispe album got pushed back a couple times they spoke on their label issues on vol.2 of re-up gang mixtape). Always wonder how that album would have came out if it had the same formula.....oh well Timbo lucked up on that one

Timbaland was on before Danja. Besides, "Cry Me A River" had no involvement from Danja and that served as a template for FS/LS in addition to being influenced by Prince.

Timbaland and Danja have a classics and it would be great if they did more music together. In fact, they have been in talks to create more music together and are supposed to be doing work on Chris Brown's album. I don't know if it's seperately or togehther though.

Most importantly, if Timbaland is so washed up and incompetent as a producer without Danja, why did Justin get Timbaland to lace his whole album? He could've gotten anybody even Danja. He could've produced the album himself with his own production team.

Sometimes Danja gets a little too much credit.
