And no, it had nothing to do with the greencard cause my fam told everyone that I was thinking about moving THERE which is why a lot of the girls were

Unfortunately Im not ready to settle, Im still traveling about, sorting shyt out and I doubt they'd want to come to asia, so I just told my aunt Ill think about it, but make no mistake every 6 months or so, my mom and aunt will bring it up, esp now that Ive hit the big 3-0.

lol, I was gettin married offers at the airport before I left. But yeah, nikkaz don't know how good they'd have it if they went out there. The only thing Africa missing really is the infrastructure, if you fixed that and imported all the things black folks like they may be more inclined to check it out.

shyt's crazy tho, I'm in the same situation as you if I wanted I could get married to a bad ass chick and take over the family business never to worry about bills, police, or other stupid shyt we deal with here. Agreed. I don't view them as holding me back at all which is why I've done the things I've done. I hear the defeatist attitude and always have a look on my face.

My mom moved here at 21 as an immigrant and currently works for a fortune 500 company. she has an accent and went to trade school (no college). her charisma and networking alone got her into a mid-tier position. I don't understand AAs sometimes. and Im an AA myself. Just different outlook since I was raised by an african.

I guess (for someonelike myself) as an African/West Indian who's family moved to America and who lived in white suburban neighborhoods, I don't view them as "holding us back" either. But they don't fukk with us and they aren't our friends collectivel. Reality opened me up to this.

I guess that defeatist mentality comes from not having any oppportunities in one's own community...also I can see how it is possible to have that view when the only white people you see in your neighborhood are cops, realtors, landlords, social workers, and teachers.

Personally, I'm trying to leave America too. I just want to see what life is like somewhere else.
