Serbia Offers Amnesty for Illegal Firearms, and Thousands Are Collected
The unregistered weapons were handed over to the authorities as the government vows to disarm the country after two mass shootings.

Narses was reported to be a very pious man with a special devotion to the Virgin Mary. Evagrius Scholasticus in Ecclesiastica Historia reported that she would tell him the proper time to attack, and Narses would never engage in battle without her consent.[8] Narses also was reported to be generous to the poor and zealous when it came to restoring churches. He was so devoted to prayers and vigils that "he obtained victory more by the supplications he poured forth to God, than by arms of war."
More guns is the answerserbia's a far-right mob state, like literally a country run by the mafia. every gun that was seized is gonna be resold on the black market, then exported to american collectors, they've been doing that since the '90s.
i was reading a serbian forum about this a few days back and the most common take there was that this is the case of the dictator not letting a good crisis go to waste. there's been a lot of protests against the dictatorship recently and vucic wants a situation like china or france where the government does whatever they want and responds to any protest with overwhelming violence, not like the peasants can fight back anymore.![]()

amnesties like this are pretty common tho, and unlike in serbia the government even pays people for bringing stuff in. nothing dangerous ever gets taken off the street, it's stuff like revolvers that were hiding in gma's attic, broken shotguns, antiques that were worth less than the buyback amount, etc. lately there have been jokers trying to bankrupt the amnesties by 3d printing tons of small guns and turning them in.like imagine a governor says "we'll look the other way if you drop it off at a local precinct. anonymously, no id checks, nothing. just drop it off"
so the answer is to put them all in the hands of a far-right, white supremacist dictatorship which spergs out and commits genocide every 25 years or so? i assume you want the same thing in america then?More guns is the answer![]()

Serbians have handed over more than 3,000 illegally-owned weapons and weapons parts in just two days of a mass gun amnesty announced as part of a crackdown on firearm ownership in the wake of two deadly mass shootings.
It took two mass shootings to take action. Just two.A total of 17 people were killed in the attacks last week, including one at a school, which have brought huge pressure on President Aleksandar Vucic's administration.
It's serbians and no they just decided as a civilized society that preventing another mass shooting is more important to them.Siberians clearly lack freedom. Sad
