I don't know much about guns but,

Get an AR15 or AK47. Can't go wrong with either of those, though I think the AR is more beginner friendly and you have a lot of reliable choices. Draco is cool, but you need an arm brace, too much power to be shooting with just a grip

But with that said, you also have to take into account ammunition and penetration. I think AK 7.6 will go through walls

A shotgun is better for home defense. You just spray in the direction in the of the shooter. You don't have to be accurate.
