Wasn’t coming at you but if you watch this clip, it explains what I’m saying with more nuance. George Michael isn’t the problem, it’s these awards that racially segregate artists even today.

Hope it clarifies what I’m saying. Even George Michael points it out. Same thing with Macklemore in 2014.

So the question is: Don't Be Cruel Vs Faith
The question, and still is today: why can a white artist crossover into a predominately black culture, with little to no pushback, but a black artist can’t do the inverse?

I.e. Beyonce and Lil’ Nas X with country music. Bobby Brown should’ve been nominated in the pop categories too if all things were “equal”.
