That ad was crazy when it came out, had people mad hyped.
Definitely a shame we never got a Dre and Kendrick album but Dre seemed to respect the fact that Kendrick came in with a vision and a team.
Outside of the mixing he didn't really need Dre in the Studio. Once Dre helped Ali level up in the studio Kendrick was capable of doing everything in house.

You have a better chance of this happening today because Kenny has grown into his own perfectionist ways. But back then, waiting on Dre to tweak everything to his liking would have stalled out his momentum.
