These two got so many songs to their name it is ridiculous. I listen to their albums like "I forgot all about this song.." Same with Aretha as far as female singers are concerned. Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, and a few others are some people who works is so extensive you forget many things they did

oh yeah, that's the beauty in the music by the artists that you named. those artists had a love for the music and were talented. they had a gift and use it to the best of their abilities. r&b is damn near non existent as a movement but for what it is now it's missin' that love, they done forgot what it's all about. artists like curtis mayfield (my favorite artist tied with barry white), marvin gaye, aretha franklin, bob dylan, sly stone, ahmad jamal, smokey robinson, ray charles, whitney houston, mariah carey and so on etc all had a vision and worked hard. the quality of these artists such as the ones named is excellent and the bench mark for greatness in music
Singing doesn't even describe what they did compared to ratchet and blues acts now. They were gawdesses, these bishes now can't touch em not even bey.5 stars, dap and + rep

oh of course man. it's like a joke now, the vast majority of r&b (what's considered "r&b") and hip hop is like a parody comedy skit that would've been the runnin' joke on in livin' color back in the day. what is now deemed "great", "cool", and or "tight" now for the most part would be laughed at and joke about back in those days. as for beyonce, that woman is as overrated as it gets. she works hard but she's overrated as fukk and because there's not even the slightest bit of any competition who's willin' to work nearly as hard as her, it's easy for her to shine in a weak and pretty much non existent era of great r&b music. it's just funny seein' how things are now when i look back on how things use to be. it's like night and day. total opposites
