Actually his career took off after that diss.

Yeah it did, he linked with Dre and others and went Platinum so that was just the beginning for him when Pac said that, didn't effect him at all really just got his name out even more (Mobb Deep even said you yelling my name thats only giving me props on Drop A Gem On Em like good looks because Pac had a big fan base). When Pac acknowledged you that meant you were on his radar.
