If any of you guys are from the A then you know tip had it fukked up big time. Everybody was riding to trap music. I'm from the A. Westside to be exact. Rip was holding down for us trappers. Nobody else was doing it. I had heard of jeezy before he blew, but nobody was really checking for dude until bmf started backing him. That's a big part of why he blew up. If a nikka say I'm lying, then they can't be from here. The whole jeezy/bmf mystique was classic. All that money meech put behind dude helped him a lot. I remember seeing them in the body tap one night, and them bmf nikkaz throwing money and dude was looking like a lil brother or something. They helped push his shyt. The A made the nikka hot. So to sum it up, he just rode that coat tail. Jeezy is my fav rapper. Hell, I didn't fukk with dude at first cuz I like to hear a nikka spit fire. He grew on a nikka tho. Those nursery way of rapping rhymes threw me off a bit. Tips trap music was raw and he was splitting. The song what happened made me say that nikka nice.

This deserves to be noted since people are erroneously crediting Shawty Redd with creating the "trap" sound:

"'Be Easy' was the beginning of a lot of things. Shawty Redd, that’s his favorite song"---- DJ Toomp

"When you listen to a lot of Jeezy’s stuff on his first mixtape, a lot of what Shawty Redd was doing, he got the pattern from the 'Be Easy' drum pattern. It’s good to know that it had such an influence on a project like that.”---- DJ Toomp talking about "Be Easy" from Trap Muzik.
