His backup Kenneth Davis actually managed to have an even uglier facemask:

From 1990 on, I can't think of another combination of a starting RB and his backup with an uglier duo of fasemasks in the league.

Funny enough, Thurman rocked a normal facemask for a RB in Miami at the end of his career.

Probably asked the Dolphins equipment manager for his old Buffalo cage and got hit with the :rudy: for asking about that doofy ass mask.

Another cat from that era with an outdated facemask that was also unfit for his position was Broncos CB Tyrone Braxton:

:scusthov:

If you're not gonna rock the Deion or the small version of the LB gorilla mask (like the one Thurman Thomas is wearing as a Dolphin), at the very least rock a QB / WR mask like Otis Smith did

Thomas was killin it that Super Bowl they lost to giants

Especially in the 4th
Biggest travesty ever Giants with 40 min time of possession Thurman averaging 13 yards a carry but they wanted the white man to win it.

Would've went down as the greatest super bowl performance easily.

You can't blame a defense if an offense cannot sustain drives. These are humans, not machines. They're gonna get tired and worn down playing a reactionary game.

Not to mention you're trying to blame a defense that gave up only 20 points despite playing damn near 3 quarters of the game. Not to mention they scored 2 points of their own when they got Hostetler for a safety.

That Bills team had an explosive offense but that explosive offense had a bad day passing wise. People can blame Norwood, but 19 points vs an older Giants D on its last legs is inexcusable.

the giants converted over half their third downs and ran the ball a lot. they had the ball for over 40 minutes. That's not all on the offense. When you sit on the sidelines for that long, it's hard to get into a rhythm.
And despite the time of possession, the offense still put them in position to win. The kicker missed a field goal.
