Ok here we go…
In a perfect world things wouldn’t go how they do. The only reason TI is even in the position he is to close a show doing comedy is the curiosity and fan base he carries over from music. It’s not right but that’s the motion. How you think them grown ass mean in that country overseas felt when 18 year old Lamelo high jacked their team. Godfrey seems to be one of those idealist “how things should go” types. Yeah he put in decades in comedy but if it’s even a possibility that something like this can occur then clearly Godfrey ain’t lit like that. This is not even a question for the big dogs in comedy. Instead of acting bitter Godfrey should be linking with TI to raise his profile. The same shyt that worked with Kevin Hart back in the day. Godfrey isn’t necessarily wrong but a nikka in Hollywood shouldn’t be acting brand new to how shyt go

If Godfrey had a problem he should have let T.I. know.

The last thread on this lets me know the analytical capabilities of many of y’all is severely lacking. That podcast is not a good look for Godfrey no matter how u slice it. When another grown man is screaming at u and you’re NOT gonna fight him, the alpha thing to do is to walk away. Or end it the conversation.

Comedians are competitive and haters by nature. That's it.
They paid years of dues, and resent a novelty act coming in and blowing up right away.
The late Charlie Murphy said that his actual close friends, Donnell Rawlins, etc were mad that he stepped right into stand up and did well and got high billing at shows.
I've always felt that Godfrey was ultra corny as a comedian. And have seen him pander his comedy depending on the audience he's in front of. T.I. probably has better comedy sets than him right now, as an amateur.

Haven’t watched the video yet but just off reading OP Godfrey makes a good point. If you been grinding doing comedy all this time and mf come thru and gets higher billing just bc of his name than I get why you’d feel some kinda way about that
