What is the region (plantation) you are talking about? My family are direct descendents of the mislabeled Powhatan of Tidewater, Virginia
As are most mislabeled “black” people from this part of the country.
We didn’t grow up eating none of that shyt y’all associate with black culture in America, we ate corn, seafood, turkey, and everything native to this land.
We are fishermen, oystermen, and crabbers just like our ancestors have always been.
They were not native to this land, they were native to South America and they came here at certain parts of the year because the shellfish was plentiful and some of us got trapped here once the European wars started.
This is a giant landmass, and the “black” people of America are in fact descendants of the people who raided and murdered each other to get European trinkets from the land mass now referred to as “Africa”, and we’re also descendants of the “black” and “white” European traders, the North African slave traders, all of the slaves they bought to America from around the world for 100s of years before the West African slave trade, and the indigenous peoples of North and South America.

"Historical court records refer to two enslaved males living at Avery’s Rest, but they are not specifically named, only given a valuation as part of John Avery’s estate. Their lives and deaths are therefore only understood through the bioarchaeological analysis that Fleskes and her colleagues are doing. “The perimortem injury noted for one African descended male suggests a violent death,” the archaeologists note. Combined with additional evidence of childhood nutritional stress and a less formal method of burial, they suggest that there may have been lesser regard for this individual during his life."

“This support continued until the Portuguese began to forcefully kidnap and capture the innocent pagan natives of West Africa which were brought into Portugal and sold as slaves in 1444, an action that was blessed and praised by the papacy as a heroic step taken towards the salvation of the poor souls of those Black African captives.”

Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander.
I did.
I didn’t ask for this information.
This became everybody’s problem the moment ABOS (self proclaimed Indians) claimed slavery never happened and it was exaggerated, or even in reverse.Tethers working overtime for the linkup like some hoes.
If only y’all had this much concern for all the other descendants of the African slave trade (past and present) around the world who don’t also happen to be some of the wealthiest people on the planet.
