They've both given Jay Z some of his best and worst, but I got Timbaland.

I know people love "Allure" and have that as one of Jay's best, but I still feel "I Know" is peak Pharrell/Jay. "Excuse Me Miss" and "La La La" are dope as well. "Oceans" goes too, but it has additional production by Timbaland. The rest of the Pharrell productions on Jay Z albums, I could do without.

I wish they'd quit putting Pharrell and credit The Neptunes as a whole.
I can't think of one bad beat Pharrell's given Jay, while Timbaland has given him a lot of trash. Change Clothes is a good beat, it just didn't fit the direction of the Black Album

However, TImbo's best Jay beats top anything from Pharrell. So Timb has more peaks and valleys while Pharrell was consistent.

Jay Z doesn't have as many songs prodiced by The Neptunes. Meanwhile, Timbaland largely produced Magna Carta and has work going all the way back to 1998. Jay didn't start working with The Neptunes until 2000 and there's not a Jay album where The Neptunes or Pharrell did the bulk of the tracks.
