Yep. Then when other groups come into the space and start making moves with AI in the music space, we will come and yell about black folks don’t get opportunities and we aren’t let into these spaces. The tech is there for all of us to try, learn, and create and own our stuff again. People are too busy being scared and judging the world by yesterday’s metrics. The labels have damn near taken moved a lot of the funding for rap and pushed it over country and now pop again. We have no answers but to complain.

I’m glad Timbo is involved, it shows that at least one of us recognizes the time we are in. In a year or two’s time, he will be see as a visionary.

This is a typical argument white women make: things are unfair because people are being taken advantage of and we (white women) don’t have a seat at the table to also take advantage of people. Reese Witherspoon is making this exact argument about women in Hollywood and AI lol.

I think people should ask themselves why AI was first trained with black music (jazz), why the first confirmed cases of fake AI music playlists were black music (jazz on Spotify), and why see significantly more fake AI rap music than any other genres.
