Time for boxing to bring it back to the masses.. put a big fight on network tv

At least once every two years or so if not more.. just charge advertisers big money like they do the Superbowl -split the screen in-between rounds and show one 30 second commercial on one side and the trainers working on the boxers on the other. Every single fight on pay per view is not a good look for the sport especially with MMA beginning to get mainstream

Can you imagine the numbers if Manny vs Floyd was on network TV. The going rate for commercials would have to be Superbowl level. :merchant:

Those days are done kid. I wouldn't expect the glory days of boxing to come back. But like you, I would fukking love it.

i think that sometimes, but then baseball reminds me that this is a myth. i think the problem is that the casual fan has a tough time determining quality because of the lack of unification and lack of general publicity.

back to network tv and with a unified sport, boxing would make a gradual comeback..
