So what's the deal with this? It's premiering at the TriBeCa Film Festival, seats are expensive and Nas will perform Illmatic after the documentary. Is it gonna be released on DVD for sale on Nas' website, will VH1 pick it up, will it be in regular movie theaters?

I really want to see this documentary, it looks extremely well produced with a lot of never before seen footage, recording sessions and interviews. :lupe:

If I had to guess, it'll come out very soon by the summer in select NY/LA Cinemas and probably a VOD/DVD shortly after, maybe even at the same time as the theatrical release. The Tribe Called Question documentary and Ice-T's Art of Rhyme doc both had a similar release strategy.

I think people will get to see this sooner than they realize. By August Im willing to beat you can torrent it or file share it. These Hip Hop docs that come out at Tribeca have a habit of coming out early
