If that was the case, you'd see a gang of southern rappers using NY flows, styles, cadences, hooks, and beats.......wait, that's what NY is doing to the south so who's trying to gain approval from who??? NY rappers KNOW in order to have any relevance they have to have support from the south....southern rappers aren't going into the studio thinking "They're going to love this track in Brooklyn" Even in the 90s when NY was really on that closed minded bullsh*t, the south wasn't caring because they're independent grind was so strong that it didn't matter.
