I just heard this wrestler Chris Jericho (Who was on dancing with the stars) say on a podcast the other day how it's fake like wrestling and they pick who they want to win. They might incorporate the audience votes somewhat but for the most part they control the narrative.

Even interviews are fake... I know so many people out in Hollywood that were instructed what to say & how to say it & would redo it if the emotion wasn't "right." The entertainment is just that... Entertainment. Hollywood is a cleverly structured illusion...
