I came in just to say this lol. I guess Aaliyah was all cap
I still think Tim went too far promoting Tink. Still, all this "he ruined her career" is a joke. "Treat Me Like Somebody" still remains her biggest song and this was before Tim. People were like "well she's finally free" in celebration of her breaking from Tim. Nothing she's done since Tim has even produced anything as big as "Million" or the "Ratchet" record with Tim.
This board is the only place I've seen mention of her. I respect her grind and was rooting for her to win. Still, she's overhyped. Nothing about her stands out and it seems like her niche was the vulnerable, relationship songs.
