I use a credit card every where I go for the cash back bonus. Not worried about no trickery with the bartender cuz I keep a copy of my receipt and the tip I wrote.

I don’t like carrying cash cuz I don’t make any money off of it and if I lose it, it’s gone :yeshrug:

What cards you use?

I'm using the Uber visa for any type of restaurant/bar. I get 4% cash back and no annual fee. I think you get 3% back with anytyoe of travel (hotel Uber flights etc)

I use American blue cash preferred for groceries (6% cb) but it has an annual fee so if you don't spend alot on groceries it's not worth it.

I have 2 cards that have rotating 5% cb categories every quarter

I have an Amazon visa where I get 5% cb on Amazon purchases.

A couple.others as well but they are older and I don't use them like that. Probably gonna convert on to a Citi double cash card so I can get 2% cb on all purchases.

If you had to guess how much do you get back a year? I’m just trying to see for myself if it’s worth it because I’m looking at credit cards different now.

I earn about 30-40 a month on my amex, but I buy alot of groceries and pay for bills with it so it pays for itself and then some.

I just got the Uber card a couple months a go but I took it on a couple trips with me and earned around 100 bucks so far(That's not counting the 150 bonus they gave me for spending 1500 or so within. 90 days) But when I go out of town I tend to eat out alot any way, might as well make a lil cash from it.

The cards with the rotating categories are hard to pen down, last month I made 75 off of discover because it was 5% cb on PayPal purchases, and I just happened to be getting house work done, guy billed me through pay pal so I payed with the discover and then just payed discover off.but other months I rarely use it other than to pay off a bill or something.

I'm only using the cards for stuff I would already be spending money on. And I don't carry a balance so I never pay interest.

I think it's worth it if you can find a card that suits your life style (preferably with out an annual fee).

As you'll see, it's a whole life style dedicated to getting bonuses points cash back etc.

Also nerdwallet.com is a good way to compare cards.

I prefer to give em cash. They get the money instantly without getting any taken for taxes or other bull. I do the same with small businesses
