Didn't cost me much when I did it.
Just a 1 way plane ticket and a couple hundred to ship my belongings.
Shipping your car must cost a fortune. Just take the 3 days and drive it. It'll be a great trip and an excuse to see a lot of the country on the way.

I'll give you advice on once you get to LA. There's a unwritten dress code, don't wear red or blue if you're going through gang territory. it doesn't matter if you don't claim that shyt, people will take your head off just for wearing the wrong color in the wrong hood

its not like the 80's and 90's anymore
but you need to make sure your colors are correct before you leave your domicile. I learnt that the hard way
I know Chicago had/has a similar thing with starter caps. people come from out of town wearing hats that are supposed to show gang affiliation and don't even realize it.

Breh i made the move LA to NYC get ready its a totally different world in LA (good and bad)
I shipped my car from jersey to tx for like 800. So your looking at over a stack to go from NYC to LA. Maybe 1500

well i got experience moving cross country. lemme ask you this. why are you moving? and how much money do you have to actually move? it cost me $645 to move my car from philly to minnesota. the company is new way moving services. good company. id recommend them again. what you need to do is go to uship.com. its basically companies bidding on your vehichle. now your gonna get a bunch of emails with companies wanting to ship your car. go with the best one. another good website is http://www.transportreviews.com/company/. that way you can read the reviews of the companies. you need to give us more information. what kind of car is it? is the car paid for? is it cheaper to drive or to fly and ship the car.
