I need some quality tires for my car.

08 Nissan Altima- 40k miles
No issues of any kind just need tires.

Size 225/45/18

Mostly city driving, a bit of highway, about a total of 500-600 miles a month driven on the car. I want as smooth a ride as possible in these New Orleans streets.

does the tire quality not matter since i dont drive much (or very far distances)?

Budget for 4 tires: Max $500.

Thanks.

^^ Nice :troll:

Michelin, Bridgestone or BFgoodrich you will find good tread wear all season tires for ~$120 a tire.

Yokohama is good too especially the YK580 performance all season which goes for about $125-140 a tire.

Best resource... You will find a lot of info and real world owner reviews here www.tirerack.com

One thing, never go cheap on tires... If youre going to spend money on a quality product for your car this would be it. You can find a good set with your budget.

houston.
replaced my 2 rear tires the other day since the one i had before is wearing out. Had it for about 3 years. Those two tires i replaced cost me almost $400.

Get your tires from Discount Tires and get that warranty. Free tire rotations.

op, I'm sure you know some shady garages that sell plugged tires if you're in a bind, it's a big hustle.

Tires don't give you a smooth ride, your suspension does that.

go to a Pep-Boys.
Join BJ's Wholesale Warehouse Club and get tires there and have them install them. They don't do anything else like brakes or oil so they aren't going to hustle you for other repairs.
