controllers will be helping you aim while mouse will not help at all. if you are not good at shooters, you can use a controller and it might improve your performance to some degree. this schism will not be popular among the pc community

mouse will always have the advantage even with aim assist so I'm not worried. But why would someone want to play a PC FPS with a controller? If you enjoy playing like that in the first place you obviously don't care about the fairness between the two.
