He's mentally ill. They should put him in a hospital not a prison.
This may sound dumb but hear me out.
There's a difference between having a mental illness and being mentally ill. You may not want to admit it, but you know I'm right. Being mentally ill basically means you don't have the capacity to function even somewhat normally in daily life, which obviously wasn't the case with dude.
Mental illness is treatable..counseling, therapy, medication...but it takes a commitment from the person suffering as well as a commitment by the treatment provider.
Now on the other hand, someone who is TRULY mentally ill is damn near untreatable and they do belong in a hospital.
Now from what I've read about Young, he doesn't sound untreatable, he sounds more like he's on the side of unwilling. He doesn't sound truly mentally ill. They tried to help the cat and he bounced from the facility...he had his chance to get right and blew it. Simple as that.
