every single artist that has ever been relevant will get some decent change if they go on kickstarter and promote themselves well on social media. the reason being. you always have fans out there that would like to hear you do what you do. before you could not connect with fans you had in 1977 and its 1997. those fans are some what lost if you didnt keep touring etc. so labels wouldnt put money behind another album. but now, you can get those fans that you now can find thru social media a chance to put in on something they loved when they were growing up.

I think it would be good if the artists provides a snippet of what they doin now. To let fans know they still got it

An album can easily be made on 150k

You can shoot a video cheaply and toss on YouTube.

You can record easily

Hell you can just pur it on iTunes and amazon as digital copies

The game is diff now

The band raised more than $185,000 in pledges to date with help of fans and a surprise pop princess: Katy Perry.

After the "Roar" singer donated $5,000 to their campaign, T-Boz reached out to her on Twitterand thanked her for the donation.

Perry's $5,000 pledge means she can choose from the following gift incentives: a TLC onesie, a slumber party with Chilli in Atlanta or a slumber party with T-Boz in Los Angeles, although the latter option has already been snapped up by other donors.
