was Marlene justified in what she did

I agreed with what he did. I don't think the Fireflies getting the cure would have done any good anyway.

Even if the cure could fix the world, I don't think I would have let a person I've bonded with through a harsh journey get sacrificed.

If she wanted to do it, :manny: its her choice and it be selfish to keep a possible cure away from the world.

At that point in time, I don't think a cure would have done much good. How do you go back to restoring order? The uninfected humans were just as much of a threat as the infected. Ellie seemingly restored Joel's purpose in life. If he were to let Ellie die, he may as well go ahead and commit that.

Would've made the same choice.

Supposing that Joel let them do it, there was no guarantee a cure would come out of it, and that the Fireflies would do anything good with it either. Humanity was pretty much done and I believe the Fireflies would've used the cure for their own agenda and secure their dominance. It'd be like giving them access to a nuke and shifting the balance of power in their favor which they'll no doubt pick and choose whoever they want to get the cure as long as they bend the knee. Nothing would change except for the main players.
