McGrady was arguing with Paul Pierce about who they would choose (Pierce chose Jordan btw). McGradys point was that he wants to be the guy to take over games and take the last shot and he felt he would have a better chance at doing that playing with LeBron. McGrady wants to be THE JORDAN of the team.



No Jordan is not a pass first player but that doesn't mean he can't pass, his assists were only one element of how he elevated his teammates play.

Id take LeBron over MJ too simply because he could fill multiple roles for me. That doesnt mean i consider LeBron to be a better player than MJ, those are two separate discussions. Many people consider either Jerry Rice or Lawrence Taylor to be the greatest football players ever, but you would be much better served picking a QB over them in an all time draft.
