I've never been caught with it, but I know couple people who have. They only care when you got a lot of it or selling it.
i live in LA and got stopped a checkpoint one time....I was just smoking a joint in the whip like 5 min earlier. Cop says "it smells like weed in here" Im like "yeah, i got a weed card and just bought some from a dispensary. I can show you my card and the weed its right here" and pointed at the weed it was in the passenger seat . Cop went to talk to the other guy and came back and was just like "Aight cool. You're good. Have a good night". I didn't even have to show him my drivers license or my weed card. He just took my word for it.
One time I was in SF and were smoking a joint outside the UNDFTD store on a busy street. Cops walked by, looked at us, and just kept pushing
