11/6/15 Update:

TMZ Sports is moving to FOX Sports. TMZ Sports isn’t really changing, we will still be breaking all the biggest sports news first, we will still be doing awesome videos about athletes doing crazy stuff, and you may even see appearances by the legendary Cleatus. Tune in to TMZ Sports on FS1 on Weekdays at Midnight EST, except on Wednesday’s at 12:30am EST.

TMZ has gone from being regarded as uncreditable gossip to now one of the most respected media sources in sports–crazy world. From their handling of the Donald Sterling saga, to most recently, the leaking of the Ray Rice footage, the news outlet is riding high.

TMZ already has an entertainment gossip show on Fox, but now TMZ Hollywood Sports which focuses on athletes is coming to tv, as well.

The Reelz Channel — a subscription-based service — has ordered a weekly series titled TMZ Hollywood Sports. The show will, according to PR statements “deliver a fast-paced, hard-hitting and fun look at a collision of worlds where sports (with no Xs and Os) meets celebrity meets Hollywood.” The show debuts on Sept. 29.

Not quite sure the reasoning for the name brand news outlet to go to such an obscure channel, but in the age of rapid social media this doesn’t hurt at all.
