As reported earlier, Japanese wrestling legend and former WCW star The Great Muta was at TNA Headquarters today. Muta met with Jeff Jarrett and TNA's Andy Barton about the idea of TNA sending talent overseas to work for his new Wrestle-1 promotion. Jimmy Suzuki, a longtime Japanese photographer, was also at the meeting.

At this time, there is no word on whether Wrestle-1 would be sending Japanese talent to TNA as well.

Daddy Jeff is an international man of mystery. Doing that good work in Mexico, Japan and India. :wow:

Figured Muta would end up working with ROH. This will not help TNA though. So fukk it.

Because WWE doesn't need help from anybody. They're the biggest company on the planet, and realistically they're not going to benefit from a small independent promotion in Japan.

http://www.gerweck.net/2013/07/04/talent-that-will-work-for-the-great-mutas-new-promotion/

Wrestling great The Great Muta is finished with All Japan Pro Wrestling, and will be taking many of the struggling company’s talent with him to a new promotion, likely to debut in August. The talent leaving for All Japan for the new promotion include: Masakatsu Funaki, Kaz Hayashi, Kai, Shuji Kondo, Ryota Hama, Masayuki Kono, Minoru Tanaka, Hiroshi Yamato, Yasufumi Nakanoueno, Osamu Nishimura, Seiya Sanada and Koji Kanemoto.

The promotion is expected to debut in August, and has yet to be named.

Those staying with All Japan will be Hikaru Sato, Sushi (Akira Raijin, who was Kiyoshi in TNA and briefly Suicide), Taiyo Kea, Takao Omori, Manabu Soya, Joe Doering, Kenso, Suwama and the Burning Members, who are Jun Akiyama, Go Shiozaki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Atsushi Aoki and Kotaro Suzuki.

No they aren't, shut up.

I don't see how this is going to help TNA in any way; they're not exactly in need of talented wrestlers.

Aces & Eights Japan :pachaha:
Pretty much the most accurate way of describing this whole deal. No one in WRESTLE-1 is an actual draw in Japan except Masakatsu Funaki and Keiji Mutoh himself. This exchange is going to be a failure for both companies involved. :jawalrus:

Cuz NJPW ain't got the time or patience for the E to send their wrestlers to the development or NXT for a few months or indefinite.

Not to mention some cats are too soft and they don't wanna deal with the Superstars complaining about the stiff working style :shaq:
