They're truly rebuilding the company and trying to make it profitable. Changing the name isn't rebranding.

I know most people think what they're doing is wrong, but it's not. They want a new roster and are going to build new stars. The Hardys are great, but why pay that much for them when you can get cheaper stars who are, quite frankly, better wrestlers? Yes, they may be bigger draws now, but you have to look at tomorrow. You can build stars with weekly television.

City of Angels :blessed:
AJ Styles
Christopher Daniels
Samoa Joe
Christian Cage
EC3
Lashley
Wolves

AJ-Daniels-Joe were well known Indy guys before main eventing in TNA and they never were elevated to money-drawing "star" level.

Christian and Lashley were big names before ever coming to TNA.

EC3 and the Wolves are stars? Does anyone outside of die hard smark wrestling fans know who the fukk they are? :jbhmm:

Building a star =/= creating mainstream stars that people outside of the wrestling world know. Even the WWE hasn't built a "star" since John Cena if we're going by that metric.

TNA has never created a "homegrown" talent into anything that could resemble a star, as far as I can remember. "Star" doesnt have to be someone on the level of Cena, but it should be someone who can main event and carry your company and draw money.

That's basically what they need to do if they ever want to draw more than 300k viewers, and I've never seen proof they can do it.

Those people won't have the Character/Charisma, that TNA/Impact Wrestling need to run a profit. Outside of a Dalton Castle, all of the other cheap alternatives are bland.

TNA made them national stars breh, no need for the :duck:

:mjlol: AJ is a star now, he wasn't then. All TNA did was give them a national platform, but they didn't creatively turn them into stars. Everyone knows TNA dropped the ball with them. If they had become stars in TNA, they would have never peaced out.
