The First Men

Damn I'm old.
I'm currently in Lexington VA on work and I'll be here for at least three months. All the cities with melanated people are on the coast and even though I think the scenery here is beautiful, I've already seen two Confederate flags and only a handful of sistaz. That said, I have no issues driving at least three hours to the DMV area to be around some black folks. I can leave early, stay for the weekend, and leave Monday morning to arrive at work by 7:00 AM. So I want to know what are the best places to visit for the weekend. It doesn't matter if it's a club, restaurant, lounge, or even a museum. As long as I'm around black people I really don't care what it is.
One of the biggest things I realize is the rate of obesity, especially in white America. I guess because I live in Florida and a lot of people, whether consciously or subconsciously, strives for a beach body, I haven't really noticed the obesity crisis but being in central Virginia, it's a real eye opener. These white folks here love their dip and they start at an early age. So, by the time they get to their 30s 40s and 50s, their teeth are completely messed up.
Anyways, as I've said I'll be here for at least three months with a possible extension for an additional 3 making 6 months total. These are the perfect time to be a weekend warrior and explore other black communities in the United States.
