To all my pro-blacks and Pan-Afrikans: has anybody considered changing their names?

I've been on The Continent for 431 days so its a foregone conclusion that I'll change upon my return to reclaim my culture and self-respect. That said, am I alone or did this die in the 90s?

Luckily your decision isn't contingent on what other people decide to do.
Never been crazy about having a Euro last name, but am not going to legally change it.

Do you have a specific ethnic group that you will take the new name from? Do you have a genetic or cultural link to that group?

Sankara (Thomas)
Amas (Hebrew for Amos [Wilson])
Malikhalid (Muslim names of Malcolm and Khalid)
Makandal (Haitian revolution for the Kongo)
