"All the way Black" is ridiculous as there are tons of African groups who have non-Black ancestry

You mean those arab/ arab mixes in the north and the horn..Africans tell them they are not Black all the time, dont get it twisted.

Cushytic people are not Arab. Swahili people are not Arab. Berbers are not Arab. All are Black people.

For some reason I don't "look African" to most people. Most assume I'm "regular Black." Though, some Africans can look at me and know what's up. Down to the tribal affiliation. :manny:

I am Kenyan, and I've been confused for being a Nigerian, Jamaican, Ghanaian, American, etc, which leads me to believe that phenotypically I am 'generic' black. I agree that there are some distinct looks found in Africa that aren't found in the West Indies and America, but for the most part I'd find it difficult pinning down your specific ethnicity or background just from your looks alone.

For example, I have an uncle who is the spitting image of Mos Def, and one of my close friends in elementary school looked exactly like Tyler The Creator. Mind you this is East Africa. How do you explain this?

Phenotypes overlap but the fringes are distinct.
