To somebody that ain't ever been, what is New York like?

Always wanted to experience the city, live there for a year or 2. All I have is a few visits to Chicago under my belt.

Cost of living is obviously expensive. How's the women, food culture, and nightlife?

Yeah it sounds exciting. I'm trying to go back to school and get me a decent degree. Definitely wanna try living there just for the experience.

My only gripe is COL. Not sure if I'll be able to save anything or invest. I don't see how y'all do it

It's the big city. Concrete everywhere, there's always someone walking or something open. Diverse population. People seem to carry a much more aggressive demeanor, compared to what I'm used to in the bay area, although it wasn't off putting, just an interesting observation. Also, I thought they had a good sense of fashion/style in NYC.

I loved NYC, but I was ready to get back home. It felt very fast paced, exhausting to be around so much people and noise all day long.

super vibrant/lively..if you from a small city and its your first time...the experience is even better
excellent views, iconic buildings in every turn, museums, parks, culture, interesting people.

It's one of those city that you don't want to leave and especially if it your 1 st time visiting there. You might end up thinking about moving there too.

it's ok but getting bad as far as homelessness great food spots, congested traffic after 2pm, decent music. but things are slowly changing for the worst.
