People hate on vegetarians but the truth is when you have an office company luncheon and everyone orders pizza, I always ask for vegetarian pizza.
And the meat eaters are ALWAYS the first ones to eat up veggie pizza until there's none left for actual vegetarians, happens all the time!!!
And then there's all this meat pizza left that nobody wants.

I don’t recommend just diving into it. It will be difficult to remain disciplined. It’s a process that eventually becomes a lifestyle. I did it by eliminating the following in order.

-Pork
-Red meat
-Chicken
-Fish
-Dairy
-Anything with eggs and gelatin.

In about two months, I wasn’t consuming any animal products at all. Your tastebuds will gradually change. It’s fun to try out different Vegan/Plant-Based recipes too. Again, it eventually becomes a lifestyle and the habits become a normal part of your everyday life.

Nowadays, I’ll consume some animal products on the rare occasion (never bullshyt like pork though). Mostly in social settings where it’s offered to me. But I’ve been 99% Plant-Based for about seven years now.

Hi

For me, it was cold turkey. About 5 years ago, I watched a documentary showing how some foods are made. I can't remember the name of it, but in the documentary they showed some workers purposely stepping on the chickens to kill them. Another worker threw a chicken against the wall to kill it. I was around 14 so it shocked me and really bothered me. I've been plant-based since.

A combination of food poisoning and a class on mass meat production. It’s frankly terrifying how low the sanitary standards are with meat and fish production.

I just made a drastic change to my diet to supplement exercise. My diet was trash and I wanted to clean it up. I probably didn't have to go vegan but I did and it has worked out; six years/seven months later, I'm still doing good. It's nearly perfect for my lifestyle as well.

Not sure if I'll ever FULLY quit meat but I've been slowly reducing it and incorporating more of a frugivore diet and all imma say is that that my energy and wellbeing>>>> than when eating meat daily. I ain't wanna believe that carcinogen shyt several years ago and completely ridiculed vegans until I started eating more bananas, apples, oranges/ green smoothies regularly and I peeped just how clear my mental was. I be less groggy have a better sustained mood throughout the day and just more fluid all around.

Eating meat everyday as good as it is definitely weighs you down. :manny:

Should note, being vegan has nothing to do with dietary choices, rather it is likely to influence it. Because in a vacuum a vegan can eat all the meat they want if the meat is roadkill, or if the animal was never sentient. Of course they would likely object just given the personhood they associate with it, but being vegan is just supporting the rejection of the "unnecessary killing/harming of animals" because of an obligation to moral consideration on the basis of not being able to identify a symmetry breaker that justifies killing and harming animals for unnecessary reasons.

Going without eating meat is just being plant based in food choices. With that said, are there any other ethical vegans on this forum? :jbhmm:
