No argument there. They know niccas won't go to CITY HALL MEETINGS too see what had been planned for their own neighborhood, but get caught like a deer in the headlights when the takeover starts. You should see downtown/west oakland. But it's not like city hall didn't have the Lake Merritt Gentrification Project announced years ago
Is there a way you can look online for what your city has planned or do you have to go to the meetings?

they're also working in health care, education and finance as well. but these are folks that usually come from the midwest like wisconsin, iowa, michigan, ohio, and indiana who came to the big city for a job. they don't know shyt about the city, so they assume they gotta live near downtown cuz that's all they know. a lot of them have roommates, because a lot of white collar jobs don't pay enough to afford these luxury apartments. it's actually comical how scared they are of anything related to the south or west side.
You know what's up, yup.

2k a month for rent is 25 grand a year and with all the fees, you're looking at 30k a year in just rent, which is 40k pretax dollars, so you need to make at least 70k to be able to rent, without actually saving any money in your bank account.
Anybody who's got common sense is going to buy a house instead of renting and throwing away 30thousand every year. :heh:

And that roommate shyt is serious. There's people I work with in this building that have 2-3, and even 4 roommates. Living all cramped in a luxury high rise, barely any furniture, I was floored when I saw it firsthand. :smh:

Pay 3200 to live in Chiraq brehs :mjlol:
It won't be "Chiraq" for too long at this point.
And sadly I think that's the mentality of most Project residents. Not just in Chicago but most places. to quote Rich Boy "They tore down our project's/so where we gone move next". A lot of people are really under the impression that housing projects are permanent rather than temporary.
That's why it's called a "project".

As supposed to a "plan".

Once the project is over and all of the tests have been done, the subjects (tenants, residents) serve no purpose.

Love
Just bought a 5bed/3.5 bath, 2 car garage, close to the beach.

Mortgage including homeowners insurance, taxes gonna hit me for $1900.

Studio apt in Chi, SF or La, NY for $1825.....(edit)

Someone break down, how the quality of life is better in these big cities (edit) for me?
NYers are mostly blind loyal fools, man :russ:

You have people in NY who went to college and graduated but working sh!ty jobs at the airport in NY rather than pursue their career fields elsewhere. To them living in NY is a badge of honor and they'd rather die than give it up.
The fukk i'd look like paying $1500 living in someone's tiny basement apartment just so i can tell people i live in NY :scust:

I dont love any place that much.

Like I was asking... why live in these locations. What do you gain? I'm fine living within driving distance.

I don't understand big city life. Guess it's an island mindset.
I like being & living around people that look like me and not to be alienated by excessive populations of whites.

I still stand by my statement that a sacrifice needs to be made by 2 to 3 generations of African Americans to excel in academia and athletics and then build up the outlying communities. But that's hard. :francis:
Who knows if America will even be a viable place to live then?

I understand the need and neccessity to build up communities, but why play shuffleboard on a sinking ship?

this been happening all over the U.S.

The mission is to get black people in which we follow suit to move out to the suburbs because the ghetto is prime cheap real estate and once nikkas get out to the burbs, white flight back to the hoods closer to downtown areas and raised the cost of everything to keep your black asses 20 minutes away from the city back in the burbs away from tourist and life and stuck in areas where metro buses and trains are run around a certain time to keep your asses away

My friends who i went to school with laugh at me all the time cause i live in The hood of inglewood telling me " man King u a fool living in the hood and dealing with the bullshyt, u need to move out to the burbs "...... i'm like what for?? why overpay beyond my means to live somewhere even tho it might be more safer i'll be killing myself more working 60 hours a week just to pay rent or a mortgage.....

now me and my neighbors are about to eat with The Rams new stadium and money coming to the hood and the property will be more desirable for the wealthy....

If you noticed, gentrification is good for those who don't plan on having kids. Most whites are not having kids like they used to, so they get These artificially high priced apartments and live near dull places and live life, commitment free. @beaniemac @1984 @Golden
