all yall nikkas is fukking stupid.

the commisonner works for 30 owners of the nba. they helping the cavs instead of the lakers and celtics is purely financial. the nba wants all 30 teams to be healthy financially, giving top picks helps them bridge those gaps.

the lakers and celtics are storied franchises that will never sink that low financially.

Please, elaborate and educate us on how that works.

And I'll leave the actual ball drawing here:

I'm confused, why only 14 balls?

I thought teams got a certain amount of balls per their odds to wins

How do you show odds?

Its not balls its combinations... so if they say a team has the most lottery balls what they actually mean is the most lottery combinations. Which is another reason it would be trash for tv. Because them calling out 4 numbers you still would have no idea what team it represented unless you looking at the list of like 200 combos for your team

Yeah i just copied and pasted this from an article on nbc sports

“Fourteen ping-pong balls numbered 1 through 14 will be placed in a drum. There are 1,001 possible combinations when four balls are drawn out of 14, without regard to their order of selection. Prior to the lottery, 1,000 of those 1,001 combinations will be assigned to the 14 participating lottery teams.

“The Milwaukee Bucks finished the season with the NBA’s worst record (15-67), so they will be assigned the first 250 combinations. The Phoenix Suns, the best team in the lottery at 48-34, will have only five combinations out of 1,000.

Word, we all know how much the NBA loves putting great talent in small markets while big markets like Boston, Philly and LA all suck :camby:

the big markets will always get stars no matter what. the lottery is rigged to promote storylines. bron back to cleveland would be good for the league.

The fact that Cleveland have had 3 #1 four picks is indicative of how trash their management is. The whole point of the draft is so that teams aren't perpetually bottom feeders.

yea it ain't rigged :stopitslime:
cause their the closest team to making it over the hump they tryna make the nba more compettitive clevand has the best chance of becomming a perrinal playoff team than all the other teams in the lottery
