I don't agree at all with the direction he's trying to go in with the movie/franchise. It'd be like completely ignoring the "Bruce Wayne side/death of his parents/toll on his body/strain on his relationships/brooding self-paranoia" aspect of being Batman and only knowing things through the viewpoint of.. harvey bullock.

I think that works conceptually if we're talking about a stand alone episode in a tv/cartoon series or even as a tie-in show like what agents of shield is trying to be... but not as the signature *franchise movie* meant to jump start and revitalize the character

With that being said, I do feel like i've been hearing this same talk for about a decade now, literally. So at this point its whatever, and hopefully a year from now we can at least see a trailer or something.

I can't imagine they wouldn't recast him. He looks essentially the same, has 10 years of acting chops under his belt, has the voice, the presence, and the martial arts background. He's basically Al Simmons.
