Tom Brady misses game after cutting himself with scissors
First, Tom Brady wasn’t expected to play in the preseason game against the Chicago Bears. And then later, it was reported that he was expected to start after all.
So it was a bit of a surprise when Brady not only didn’t suit up, but that he left Gillette Stadium entirely before kickoff. Was Bill Belichick trying to play mind games or something?
Nope. Instead, the plan was for Brady to start, until he cut his right thumb with scissors before warmups.
Apparently, Brady was trying to pry something from the bottom of his cleat prior to taking the field and sustained the cut.
There’s no word on the severity of the injury, but luckily for Brady, he has about two months to heal.
