I think most of the big game safeties are smart, but a lot of them had such tremendous athletic talent that it would wipe away a bad mental error, like ed, troy or saint sean, them dudes had a knack for reading the ball and anticipating plays but their athletic abilities covered them to, they could fukk around and bite on a pa and still get in the passing lane for a backside skinny post

Same with linebackers like Junior Seau....he was great, but his ability and instincts covered up for tons of bad positioning.
