Even George Zimmerman's bytch azz went into hiding after the Trayvon Martin trial.
Rittenhouse is racist, but given the nature of his victims and the circumstances surrounding the killings, it's not an intuitive leap from A--"Rittenhouse is a white supremacist"--to B--"Rittenhouse gunned down three white people during a protest/riot"--the way it was with Zimmerman. A person championing Rittenhouse could
plausibly fall back on "law and order" when challenged, given the nature of his victims, whereas Zimmerman's case was just a huge dogwhistle.
If KR had gunned down the
actual Black protestors, then the dynamic would be completely different, but the current situation is much more ambiguous, and thus easily twisted.
