If you think about Tomlin doesn’t have to coach anymore…He achieved a lot in his 19 seasons at Pittsburgh and done it all. There’s nothing left for him to prove and I doubt that he will get the same level of loyalty & respect from any other organization than Pittsburgh.

He would be a great fit for TV and he can get a major bag.

He definitely deserves his flowers. I can get into the minutiae of how great a coach I think he was on an All-Time scale, but objectively, he was an above average head coach at the very least.

I don't think he'll coach again. Noll was hired at 37, coached the Steelers for 23 years, never coached again. Cowher was hired at 35, coached the Steelers for 15 years, never coached again.

I think he needs a break but I also think he's fine with his legacy. Off to the sunset.
I really get the feeling he wants to step away. For good.

There's a reason Cowher never came back - he had plenty of opportunity to do so.

Same amount of $$$, way less stress and plenty of free time.

He'll be great on TV. Amazon would drop a bag for him

He need to take a season off IMO. Or if he’s hellbent on coaching next year go to a place that already has a decent offensive infrastructure in place.

I don’t think Pittsburgh is a highly coveted job relatively speaking. If you go there it’s because of the pedigree not what the team provides today.
He's under contract, he isn't coaching next year. He been grinding for 19 years, brother needs a break. Go travel the world with your wife for a year and lay back on some beaches.

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
Tomlin has no coaches on his coaching tree. None of his assistants went on to become head coaches in 19 years. OVERRATED

  1. Coaching trees are supremely overrated (see: Beli).
  2. Most of his staff is black, and as we know, are not given the same grace as their white counterparts.

Let me convince Tomlin on where he needs to be next season

Big bad St. Clair:blessed:

That franchise is a mess and has been one for so long it's like how the Lions were if ownership isn't worth a damn it trickles down. When Sheila Ford Hamp officially took over the team right away they went from a laughing stock to a team with promise.

Future HOF coach. 19 seasons without a losing record is tremendous.

We the only one in the division who'll be retaining our HC. How surprising!
